Direct Mail

I will be designing and producing a direct mail piece that will go out later this week to individuals and groups. We'll see if this generates any leads. There have been a few responses from ads placed on electronic bulletin boards with a chiropractor responding - but was interested in a trade of services, may have considered but he was in Los Angeles. And I actually completed a logo last week for a client in San Francisco, although it didn't qualify as a spot for the 'Logos for Renovation' promotion. The promotion will be offered in the direct mail campaign.

I think referrals have been working out great - I have a meeting set up to discuss a Web site design on Monday. Do great work for clients and they'll tell people they know about you. And another tip for all you freelancers and contractors out there - tell everyone you know what kind of work you do and that you are looking for leads. Have a business card ready to hand out. I printed 1000 a few months ago. I might just need to do another print run by the end of summer.

This logo was designed for a friend from high school who is raising funds for Autism through scrap booking. The original autism mark is a heart shape with the puzzle pieces. The concept is pretty straightforward, turning the pages into the puzzle pieces and applying cut out hearts on the pages. The scissors were added to represent the craft behind scrap booking. Logos for Renovation

Here's to the start of something new. Changing my bathroom one logo at a time.

I am renovating my full bath next month and to raise some funds for this project I am offering a special on my logo and business stationery package for the next 10 logo assignments (the goal by the end of October 2010). The logo assignments will be posted here on my online Blog which will discuss the project and creative process. Updates on the renovation process too.

The logo rate is $500 flat with 3 concepts and 2 revisions (final artwork created as an eps file format suitable for both print and Web). In addition, I will provide 2 layouts for a letterhead, business card and envelope design.
